Talking To Yourself

Threw my Facebook in the trash -- iPhone too
Figured I could figure something better to do
I ight leave my books on the shelf
And spend a little time talking to myself

No use to say 'How do you do?'
I already know that nothing is new
So 'hey there buddy how 'bout a glass of wine?'
You know, that suits me fine

'Cause we're all drinking that alcohol
Dreaming big, living small
There's nothing quite as empty as an afternoon room
Talking to yourself 'cause you've got nothing else to do

Talking to yourself, you don't learn a lot
Bank account's empty -- your future is shot
But I don't miss that political yack
A bunch of grim hyenas howling in a pack
Don't miss strangers who say they're my friend
I might close the curtains and sip a little gin

'Cause we're all drinking that alcohol
Dreaming big, living small
There's nothing quite as empty as an afternoon room
Talking to yourself 'cause you've got nothing else to do
